This was shot on MiniDV Cam in the old Police Boys Club Newtown. I wanted to do some video work and need something to apply it to. My friend Realistix was working on a new album (Turf Wars) and this was his favourite track. I spent the next 3 months on and off playing around with what was shot. Looking back I still pretty happy with the clip with only a few bits that I would like to fix, but it’s a little snippet of where I was at as a designer playing with video in 2004 :)
13th Son need a cover for his web only album of his raps over choice selections of other artist beats. I had a blank canvas to design to and just wanted to do something neat and a little different from what I have designed for him previously.
Design and layout by me with concept of the of battle sequence Unique and Mistery (armour, scroll and castle. Items produced: gate fold vinyl cover, CD cover and booklet, Tour poster and flyer.
Here are some construction pics. The idea originally was to work the studio photography in to the real graffiti wall but the bricks and photo quality made it difficult to get a good result. So I decided it was best to recreate the scene using Illustrator and Photoshop. This way I had more control and gave it a more comic book feel which the guys really liked.
Celsius gate fold vinyl and CD cover artwork. The concept for the cover was a 80′s high school football team. Items produced: gate fold vinyl cover, CD cover and booklet, Magazine full page ad, Web banners, tour poster and flyer, T-shirt.
